Kundalini Yoga DVDs
Of the many DVDs available on Kundalini Yoga, the series of instructional videos by Ana Brett and Ravi Singh are arguably the most popular.
Maya Fiennes is another popular Kundalini teacher who has some extremely wonderful DVDs available.
Here are some great DVDs for you to start with if you’re looking to dive more deeply into Kundalini Yoga:
- Kundalini Yoga for Beginners and Beyond
Here is a great general introduction to the postures and series of kundalini yoga from Ana Brett and Ravi Singh. Each leads a 30-minute series where you get a solid introduction to the practice and application of primary kundalini postures. This DVD also exudes the joyful spirit of Kundalini Yoga. If you’re interested in Kundalini Yoga, definitely check it out.
- Fat Free Yoga
Don’t let the Fat Free in the title confuse you–this DVD is still Ana and Ravi doing their Kundalini Yoga best. While the focus may be on weight loss and general health, the yoga postures and overall Kundalini perspective shine through in every moment. One to look out for if you’re at all a fan of Ana and Ravi.
- Ultimate Stretch Workout
As promised, here is yet another DVD of Kundalini Yoga from Ana Brett and Ravi Singh. This disc presents a 60-minute full-out yoga class that’s heavy on the deep stretching. You have the usual Kundalini chanting and the Ana and Ravi vibe as well. A great DVD whether or not you’re really into Kundalini Yoga.
- Kundalini Yoga with Gurmukh
This is a more traditional presentation of Kundalini Yoga than the Ana and Ravi DVDs above. Gurmukh dresses the part of a Kundalini yogi, but her class will definitely push you past where you’re comfortable and then some. This DVD is a nice change of pace from many of the other Yoga DVDs out there. There’s more overt spiritual discussion here, and the overall impact of running through this DVD is extremely positive and uplifting (on top of leaving you sore and spent).
- Kundalini Yoga with Maya Fiennes: A Journey Through the Chakras
Maya Fiennes is another Kundalini Yogi with a bunch of DVDs to her credit. This particular DVD introduces the first three chakras and how to direct Kundalini Yoga practice in order to work and balance them. Maya is an effortless, inspiring teacher, and I really love her DVDs, this one included.
